    • Hi Lenette, not as such, though I am supporting several writers doing nonfiction for their mentorships. If you’d like to chat in more detail, please get in touch via my contact form. Thanks! Nicole

  1. Hi Nicole I am a teaching assistant in kent working with children who have complex additional needs. I have a child i work with who is almost non verbal and does not have the ability to sit the usual exams needed to pass any vocational english qualifications. After building the pupils trust he took the last piece of my sandwich at work and I shared my pringles. He then got very excited and started pointing at the wall and saying Tower i thought he meant a poster but when he returned to his seat he opened up a folder and had written a long descriptive short story about a tower I asked his permission to lean over and help me print it out and he had absolutely perfect puctuation and a use of many language devices. He had kept his gifts hidden until he trusted me I would love to encourage him and was wondering if there is a course that he could use to showcase this and another book that is not finished, which he showed me afterwards. I think it would really enrich his day and we are a charitable foundation college with a limited funding scheme. And so could I Please see if there is a course he could use during the enrichment classes that we currently run.

    • Hi Charlotte, thank you for sharing this with me. I can’t think of any courses as such to recommend for your student, but if he’s hoping to share the story he’s written with a wider audience, he could try submitting it to one of the journals listed on my resource pages. Good luck!
