Poetry Editing

Written your first poem and wondering how it reads?

Have a piece you love that you just can’t seem to publish?

Know something’s missing in your work, but not sure what it is?

I can help!

I am particularly passionate about musicality and syntax. I love helping poets identify the weak spots in their work—from a stanza that isn’t scanning quite right, to a line being broken in the wrong spot.

Let me show you how to focus your poetry so that your structure, imagery, and language all work together instead of pulling your reader in different directions.

My end goal is the same as yours—to sharpen your original ideas and find the words to make them sing!

What I promise you:

Detailed, constructive feedback on individual poems (up to 60 lines long each) within 1 week of receipt.

I am also available for consultation on collections. Not sure if your manuscript hangs together as a whole? Wondering which order your poems should be in? Afraid there are some weak links in your manuscript? Let me take a look for you.

NB: Longer timelines apply for feedback on full manuscripts.

Interested? Please get in touch and tell me more about your needs.

I look forward to working with you!
