Writing support is available for both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. I can work with you to create a custom program that meets your individual needs.
Looking for new ways to express yourself but not sure where to start? Let’s experiment with different forms of creative writing to see what suits you best, be that prose or poetry. We can talk about voice, style, story elements, and plotting to help you figure out how to get your ideas out of your head and onto the page.
Have a longer story you want to tell? Perhaps you’re working on a novel or feeling inspired to write a memoir. I can help you consider your manuscript as a whole, showing you how to put together an outline and write your way from one chapter to the next.
Prefer to work in a shorter format? We can focus on flash fiction, poetry, or micro essays, figuring out how to achieve maximum impact from a minimum of words.
I coach a diverse clientele with a wide range of abilities. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to developing as a writer; I am happy to tailor a mentorship that meets your unique requirements, including accessibility.
Many of my clients have communication and / or processing disorders. I enjoy coming up with creative ways for us to work together, offering flexible and adaptive programs. For some, that means accepting handwritten writing samples; for others, it means reading a series of emails instead of one consolidated document.
I also have extensive experience working with neurodiverse clients, as well as others who are neurologically disabled. I can offer feedback verbally or in written form, using short sound bites, bullet points, or anything else that makes things easier to digest. I can also provide tips and tricks and workarounds to keep track of narrative threads and persist with a project to completion.
Ready to start writing? Please get in touch and let’s figure out how I can help you reach your writing goals.
I look forward to working with you!
